Part 6 of a seven-part series on political issues whose common ground we find it hardest to discover because of the unbridled passion, shaky rhetoric, and lack of empathy often employed in public discussions.
Today, we turn our attention to Joe Biden’s and Donald Trump’s attitudes toward immigration and immigrants and I ask you to take a quick quiz.
As we approach November 3, 2020, allow me to perform an appraisal of this emperor’s new clothes on the issues that divide us the most. To paraphrase fashion arbiter Tim Gunn, do Trump’s clothes “make it?”
Trump’s Pants: Where the Immigrants are Coming to Rape and Murder You in Your Sleep and Where No One’s Child Gets Lost in the System
For years, Donald Trump has used some harsh words to discuss certain kinds of immigrants to back up his policies towards our nation’s border security. With his words still ringing in our ears, let’s see where your views align with Trump’s using a simple quiz:
- Are you are unemployed and/or have poor prospects for work that will help you feed your family because your nation is corrupt, your economy has cratered, or the political leadership persecutes ethnic or religious minorities?
- Answer: Yes | No
- Are you are living in a place where violence regularly visits you on your doorstep?
- Answer: Yes | No
- Are you regularly threatened or had a loved one threatened with bodily harm, kidnap, or murder by MS-13, a patriotic armed militia, drug cartel, or government-sponsored death squad?
- Answer: Yes | No
If you answered “No” to all the questions, please skip to Question 5.
If you answered “Yes” to one or more of these questions, sorry about that! Let’s move on to the next question:
- Are you willing to embark on a treacherous journey, move to another country where everyone is a stranger, where lack of fluency in the language used by most people could be dangerous, where your religious faith is criticized or ridiculed by those in power, where you will be accused of destroying your new country, and where you could be arrested for jaywalking and deported in order to find dangerous, hard, or low-paying kind of work to support yourself and secure a viable future for your family?
- Answer: Yes | No
If you answered “Yes” to Question 4, here are some American cities that want to expand their population. If you answered “No,” well, then, good luck!
Now to the home stretch of our quiz:
- Do you believe Donald Trump’s claim that the crime rate in the United States is higher for undocumented immigrants than native-born Americans?
- Answer: Yes | No
- Do you believe Donald Trump’s claim that undocumented immigrants are a drag on the American economy?
- Answer: Yes |No
- Do you believe Donald Trump’s claim that undocumented immigrants collect Social Security benefits?
- Answer: Yes | No
If you answered “Yes” to any of these last three questions, I have some investment opportunities for you that will definitely benefit some people. If you answered “No” to any of these questions, you are probably not a member of NXIVM.
Donald Trump’s policies toward immigration are pretty simply: keep out Muslims and Latin American refugees, allow only immigrants from northern Europeans countries, don’t sweat the details, and build The Wall. PLEASE NOTE: years ago, Trump himself predicted [VIDEO] that any wall would be useless (here, here, and here).
- What Would Tim Gunn Say about Donald Trump’s pants? Most people wear clothing that is too big or too small for them. And “oversized” is the downfall for most of us. We have to be careful that we don’t look like we’re slipcovered!
Donald Trump constantly makes stuff up because he care only about what he wants. He cannot help himself: he even lied about where his father was born. So, we now have a national immigration policy built out of his lies that has resulted in a litany of unintended consequences that are hurting our country and our economy.
Joe Biden, on the other hand, has a plan for immigration and immigrants that won’t make you throw up.
Please vote for Joe Biden and encourage others to exercise their right to vote. Thanks for your consideration.
